For the frst time in Vienna “NOD – not only decoration” will show that jewelry can be more than just an aesthetic for the body. Not Only Decoration, a global collective of makers who create pieces that contest and discuss ethical consciousness across many topics from environmental to social, was founded by artists Stephie Morawetz from Austria and Laura Jack from Australia. They believe that jewelry has always been and will always have the potential to be more than just decoration, it has the capacity to convey deeper meaning, and to infuence. This can be seen in their own personal works; A Drop of Black Gold (Stephie) and Does the Carpet Match the Drapes (Laura) that will form part of the collective exhibit.
Join “Nod” and “Alja&friends” at any and all of our events and see for yourself that jewellery can be more than decoration.

An event entirely dedicated to jewellery
As a major international event, Parcours Bijoux 2017 presents some sixty projects, exhibitions and talks bringing together artists and researchers from numerous countries. Galleries, museums, institutions and public spaces will display a multifaceted creativity that places jewellery simultaneously in a social, anthropological and aesthetic context.
This new cultural episode will perpetuate the ambitions and achievements of the Circuits Bijoux 2013, when over four hundred jewellers from within and outside France came together around sixty actions co-organised by the association D’un bijou à l’autre and the Ateliers d’Art de France, in a landmark exhibition at the Musée des Arts décoratifs.
Parcours Bijoux 2017, the parisian itinerary of events dedicated to the contemporary jewel, crosses through Paris from September, the 25th until November, the 30th 2017. Numerous exhibitions will punctuate these 2 months highlighting to french and international contemporary jewellery creation. A rare opportunity, for professionals and general public alike, to sample an abundant display of inventiveness and expressivity, and to discover this still little known field.
