Stefan Boerkamp

Stefan Boerkamp is a Dutch visual designer and multimedia artist working across a wide range of media, including objects, costumes, imagery, and installations. Fascinated by science fiction, video games, and character creation, his work draws heavily from formative experiences and discoveries made in childhood. As a conceptual accessory designer, Boerkamp explores the future of the human body and questions contemporary society through wearable forms. With a deep interest in both history and the future, he respectfully reinterprets traditions, re-contextualising them using tools and perspectives of the present and imagined futures. Positioning objects as vessels for storytelling, Boerkamp blends speculative design with narrative to explore how the body might transform, evolve, or distort under the influence of technology, shifting beauty ideals, and extreme scenarios such as climate change.
