Sylver Eulalee Mair is a Black-British Caribbean, Queer jeweller, fashion designer, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist. Her work centres on illuminating overlooked topics that are deeply personal to marginalised communities. Through the use of intuitive material storytelling and socially reflective practices, she creates sustainable sculptural body adornment, jewellery, costumes, sets, films, and artworks that provoke dialogue, challenge dominant narratives, and inspire social change. Drawing on historical study to imagine new futures, Mair’s work highlights the nuanced experiences of systematically marginalised peoples who have been misrepresented or erased. Her practice resists oppression through powerful visual narratives that speak to the complexities of trauma, joy, and community.
