The focus of my degree project is to challenge what authenticity in an object could entail. The intention is to create a break from assumed hierarchies and to question value by creating my own copies of already existing mass-produced and fake pieces. By placing the copy in relation to the original, a comparison is made with each other.
The mirror opens up a possible infinity of space, but that space is always dependent on the reality it reflects. Inside the mirror there is no room for sound, smell, taste or tactility — only light can be transferred. Even if the mirror shows reality the reflection can never be as real as reality.
